After numerous delays, The Mitchells vs The Machines has finally arrived on Netflix today. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's CG-animated was previously called "Connected," but was renamed when Netflix purchased the film from Sony Pictures. But the premise and everything else stayed the same.

The Mitchells vs The Machines is an animated comedy about a quirky and dysfunctional family who embark on a road trip hoping to bond as a family for one last time before their older daughter heads off to college. But their trip -- and really the whole world -- is turned upside down by a robot uprising. With humanity facing extinction, it's up to the Millers to stop the robot apocalypse. How will they do so?

Well, in celebration of the film's release on Netflix, the streaming service put out a hilarious new clip that outlines exactly what the Millers have to do. I won't spoil it because it's definitely worth watching for a glimpse of the type of humor you can expect to see when you watch The Mitchells vs The Machines.

With 92 reviews currently counted, The Mitchells vs The Machines currently sits at a 97% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film, which was directed by Michael Rianda (Gravity Falls), has been praised for both its brilliant animation, heartwarming story, and funny delivery. The critical consensus reads: "Eye-catching and energetic, The Mitchells vs. the Machines delivers a funny, feel-good story that the whole family can enjoy."

A quirky, dysfunctional family's road trip is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity’s unlikeliest last hope!

The Mitchells vs The Machines is now streaming on Netflix. The film featuring the voices of Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Beck Bennett, Fred Armisen, Eric Andre, and Oscar winner Olivia Colman
