It's official! LEGO is going "Golden" with all-new sets inspired by Netflix and Sony's hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters. Rumors about the highly anticipated collaboration have been swirling around the internet for months, but now LEGO posted an official teaser video and shared a press release with some initial details.
The first LEGO KPop Demon Hunters set will launch Summer 2026 and bring to life Derpy, the beloved, supernatural creature from the movie. The set is designed for ages 9 and up and is meant for both play and display. LEGO didn't get into specifics, but earlier rumors indicated this set will consist of 825 pieces and cost $69.99.
LEGO confirmed additional KPop Demon Hunters sets will release in 2027 and will expand the universe with "new creative play opportunities." Again, not many details here, but initial rumors suggest these sets will include LEGO minidolls as opposed to the traditional minifigures.
Pre-orders for the Derpy set are slated open this Spring, with additional sets launching in 2027.
"We are over the (hon)moon about this new collaboration! KPop Demon Hunters and LEGO fans will finally get to combine their passions and immerse themselves in the world of KPop Demon Hunters through LEGO building," said Lena Dixen, SVP, Product Group, Core Businesses at the LEGO Group. "The movie has taken the entire world by storm, and we just couldn’t wait to work with Netflix on this one. We hope fans will be as excited about the sets as we are!”
“As KPop Demon Hunters continues to break records both on and off screen, we’re delighted to continue expanding this world IRL and partner with the LEGO Group for a brand new collection of beautifully designed and authentically-detailed sets – FOR THE FANS!” added Netflix Chief Marketing Officer Marian Lee.
KPop Demon Hunters debuted on Netflix in Summer 2025 and quickly became a global phenomenon. Its runaway success caught Netflix off guard, sending the streamer into overdrive to roll out merchandise tied to the film. In the months since, Netflix has formed partnerships with multiple companies, including master toy partnerships with Mattel and Hasbro. Like LEGO, many of these products and toys won't be out until later this year and 2027.
KPop Demon Hunters follows K-pop superstars HUNTR/X, who, when they aren't selling out stadiums, use their secret identities as demon hunters to protect their fans from an ever-present supernatural threat. Together, they must face their biggest enemy yet – an irresistible rival boy band, Saja Boys, who are demons in disguise.
KPop Demon Hunters is currently streaming on Netflix. A sequel is already in the works at Sony with an expected release in 2029.
