Season 2 of Love, Death & Robots, the NSFW animated anthology series from Tim Miller and David Fincher, will premiere this month on Netflix. The second season will consist of eight episodes, all of which will release on May 14 on the streaming service. It's unclear if Netflix will present them all in the same order or mix them up for each individual account as they did for the first season.

We don't know much about the new season of Love, Death & Robots, other than the fact that it will once again be comprised of multiple shorts that presented through various forms of animation. The first season featured everything from traditional hand-drawn to CG animation. Based on the brief glimpse we got of the new season in last month's trailer, it appears we'll be getting a healthy mix in this as well.

The teaser trailer, which you can see below, offered glimpses of the different short stories. "Naked giants, Christmas demons, and robots-gone-wild… Consume irresponsibly," the brief description teases.

Following the release of these eight episodes, Netflix has already greenlit a third season for Love, Death & Robots. The third season will also consist of eight more episodes and are slated to release in 2022 on the streaming giant. According to Tim Miller, there are even enough stories and ideas to get started on a fourth volume if Netflix were to sign off on it.

“Why would we stop doing this as long as they let us continue to do it?” Miller asked. “I love animation, and I love animators. They're just kind of a unique breed. It’s a real honor to be able to, as Jennifer said, bring these people the project that they never thought they would get. It's really like a Santa Claus sort of moment in the best possible way.”
