Viz Media is stuffing every Ash Ketchum theatrical Pokemon movie into one Amazon-only Blu-ray set. The limited edition Pokemon 24-Movie Collection is dated for release on November 24, 2026. The list price is $399.99. The box is a Poke Ball. Pre-orders are live on Amazon US.
The company posted the drop on September 1 with the line, "To be a Pokemon Master, you've gotta watch 'em all." The set covers Ash and Pikachu from Pokemon: The First Movie in 1998 through Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle in 2020. Runtime on the listing is 36 hours and 41 minutes. That is 16 Blu-ray discs in a fold-out cardboard booklet, dropped into the ball-shaped case, plus a mini art booklet of stills from the films.
It's no surprise the $400 tag is what people locked onto first. Twenty-four features works out to about $17 a movie if you only count the discs. Some of those titles have been ugly to buy used. A few later entries never got a clean U.S. Blu-ray of their own. The ball is the shelf object. The booklet is the actual storage.
The 24-count treats two double versions as separate movies. Mewtwo Strikes Back is in the 1998 original cut and the 2019 Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution remake. The Victini year is both Pokemon the Movie: Black—Victini and Reshiram and Pokemon the Movie: White—Victini and Zekrom. The rest of the line is the annual theatrical run most people grew up seeing once and then chasing across random DVD sleeves:
- Pokemon: The First Movie
- Pokemon the Movie 2000
- Pokemon 3: The Movie
- Pokemon 4Ever
- Pokemon Heroes
- Pokemon: Jirachi, Wish Maker
- Pokemon: Destiny Deoxys
- Pokemon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew
- Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea
- Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai
- Pokemon: Giratina and the Sky Warrior
- Pokemon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life
- Pokemon Zoroark: Master of Illusions
- Pokemon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice
- Pokemon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened
- Pokemon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction
- Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages
- Pokemon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel
- Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You!
- Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us
- Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle
The Live-action film Detective Pikachu is not in the ball. Horizons-era features are not in the ball. This is the OG Ash movie stack, start to finish.
It has not confirmed the Pikachu shorts that used to play in front of the features. It has not posted a special-features list. Some listings flash a Japanese language tag that does not match how these movies have shipped in North America. Treat that as a store-page glitch until Viz prints a spec sheet. The art booklet is the only extra the current copy promises.
The films themselves have been a mess to collect. Early titles bounced from Warner to other distributors. Middle years sat on Lionsgate and Viz single-disc releases that went out of print. Secrets of the Jungle went to Netflix in October 2021 and then drifted with the rest of the catalog across services that add and drop licenses. Germany already got a 23-film box last year at a lower price, with Heroes in two picture versions and a thicker booklet. This U.S. set is the first time Viz has sold the full Ash run in one American package.
The Pokemon Company announced Pokemon: Wild Card for 2027, animated by CloverWorks. That is the first new theatrical anime film since Secrets of the Jungle opened in Japan in December 2020. Wild Card is not in this Blu-ray. The ball is a closing set for the Ash years while the company points the next film at a different crew.
Sixteen discs for 24 features means doubles. Black and White Victini are the obvious pair. Other two-to-a-disc loads are how you keep the box from becoming a 24-disc brick. Picture quality will live or die on whether Viz is mastering from existing HD masters or stretching older transfers. Nobody has posted a bitrate sheet.
Amazon exclusive also means the listing can vanish. Limited-edition movie balls tend to sell the pre-order window, not the street date. The product page has already shown a junk placeholder date on some views. Viz's own post still says November 24. If you want the object, the pre-order is the date that counts.
Pokemon turns 30 in the same era this set is landing. The movies were the yearly event that sat next to the games and the Saturday broadcast. Putting them in a Poke Ball is on-brand to the point of parody. Charging four hundred dollars is the collector tax for not wanting those titles split across three streaming apps and a dusty DVD binder.
