The newest installment in the long-running Transformers franchise is set to debut on the Paramount+ streaming service in November later this year. Based on the Hasbro toyline of the same name, developed by Entertainment One and Nickelodeon, Transformers: EarthSpark will see the Cybertronian civil war brought to Earth and the emergence of a new breed of Transformer.
The first season will consist of twenty-six episodes and feature such fan-favorite characters as Optimus Prime, Elita-1, and Bumblebee as well as Twitch and Thrash. Later this month, the new animated series will be the subject of a San Diego Comic-Con panel which will show off exciting, new behind-the-scenes content such as concept art, casting, and an upcoming toyline.
With the announcement of this presentation (via Comicbook.com), we now know the primary voice cast of the animated series. Most notably, Danny Pudi will serve as the voice of Bumblebee. This actor is best known for starring in the live-action comedy series Community as well as voicing Huey in the modern version of Disney's DuckTales.
Kat Khavari (Avengers Assemble, Marvel's Spider-Man) will serve as the voice of Twitch and Zeno Robinson (Young Justice, Baymax!) will as Thrash. It remains unknown who will play Optimus Prime and Elita-1.
All three aforementioned voice actors will feature at the San Diego Comic-Con Transformers: EarthSpark presentation later this month alongside executive producers Dale Malinowski and Ant Ward (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
