After an incredible and controversial Season 27 premiere, South Park is taking already taking a break. The second episode of the season won't air until August 6th.

Comedy Central did share the first teaser trailer for Episode 2, confirming we'll be getting more of Donald Trump and Satan. The first episode of the season was extremely polarizing, but also hugely popular.

The episode, titled "Sermon on the 'Mount," took aim at politics, specifically parodying the presidency of Donald Trump and the legal actions taken by the Trump administration. There were references to the Epstein Files as well as criticism of Comedy Central parent company Paramount.

In the episode, Trump is depicted as a talking head with real photos pasted on an animated South Park character body, similar to how the series treated Saddam Hussein. And similar to the former dictator, Trump is also in a relationship with Satan.

However, most of the controversy stemmed from an AI-generated "pro"-Trump PSA that saw a deepfaked President Trump walking through a desert while shedding his clothes. In the end, a fully nude Trump collapses on the sand and we're shown his comically tiny penis. The studio managed to avoid censorship by placing cartoon eyes on it.

The episode drew condemnation from conservatives, and even the White House issued a response, calling South Park a "fourth-rate show" that is "hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention."

At San Diego Comic-Con International last week, series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were asked about the reaction to the episode. Parker, with a mock-serious face, said: "We're terribly sorry."

So where does South Park Season 27 go from here?

Well, after a week break, the season will return with its second episode on August 6th, and it looks like some more conservative prodding is on deck. The first teaser for Episode 2 shows Cartman spoofing conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, who is well known for debating with college students on campuses across the United States.

“You can just shut up, Bebe, because you have America and you love abortion,” Cartman yells at his classmate in what looks like the setup of one of Kirk's signature college debates.

It looks like the episode will also target the Trump Administration's immigration policies, specifically the controversial ICE raids happening around the country. In the teaser, we see Mr. Mackey locked, loaded, and ready.

And, of course, there's going to be more Trump. The teaser shows the president and Satan at a black tie event. While the two are seated at a table, Trump appears to be getting a little handsy.

South Park Season 27 Episode 2 will premiere on Comedy Central on Wednesday, August 6th at 10:00PM ET. The episode will begin streaming exclusively on Paramount+ the next day.
