Nearly a decade after the blockbuster success of Zootopia, Walt Disney Animation Studios is finally ready to unveil the highly anticipated sequel, Zootopia 2. The film will bring back Officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Officer Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) as they tackle a brand new mystery, facing a threat unlike anything the city has ever encountered.
As the synopsis reveals, "After solving Zootopia's biggest case, rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde discover their partnership isn't as rock-solid as they thought when Chief Bogo enrolls them in the Partners in Crisis counseling program. Their bond will soon be tested, however, when they find themselves on the trail of a complex mystery linked to the arrival of a venomous snake in the metropolis."
In 2016, the original film grossed over $1.025 billion globally, with an estimated $150 million production budget, making the sequel’s release highly anticipated.
