Sony has announced release date changes for a plethora of their upcoming movies. The third Spider-Man movie to star Tom Holland, their live-action adaptation of the Uncharted video games, the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and more. Find out more about that last one here.
Well, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2, unfortunately, wasn't the only one of Sony's upcoming animated films to be subject to a delay. Revealed last month with the first official trailer (which you can check out below); Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's Connected was set to arrive in theatres on September 18th, 2020. That's no longer the case.
The animated movie is now set to debut on October 23rd, 2020 (via Collider). That's just over a month difference so it's not too significant of a change. However, it's once again not the only upcoming animated film subject to a release date change.
On the other side of the spectrum; the release date Hotel Transylvania 4 has been brought closer. This animated sequel was announced all the way back in February 2019 — more on that here. Prior to today, Hotel Transylvania 4 was set to hit theatres on December 22nd, 2021 — but no longer! Now the animated sequel will arrive on August 6th, 2021.
