Sony released the original Hotel Transylvania back in 2012, and since then the franchise, which currently includes a total of two sequels, has gone on to gross over a billion dollars. As such, it shouldn't surprise anyone that the studio has begun developing a fourth installment.
It's currently unclear whether any of the cast members will return to voice their respective characters for Hotel Transylvania 4, or if Genndy Tartakovsky will once again sign on to direct, but we do know when the animated feature will arrive in theaters.
Unlike the franchise's most recent entry, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, which lived up to its namesake and opened in the summer, the latest feature won't be hitting the big screen until the holiday season on December 22, 2021.
As a result, Hotel Transylvania 4 will be opening later than any of the previous three films, which have all been released between July and September.
