If Nickelodeon's most beloved and popular cartoon characters all came together in a fighting game, who would reign supreme? We'll be able to answer that question later this year thanks to the upcoming game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.
Clearly inspired by Nintendo's Super Smash Bros., Ludosity and Fair Play Labs' Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a platform fighting game featuring fan-favorite characters from some of Nickelodeon's popular shows. In the reveal trailer from IGN, we are introduced to some of the playable characters in the game, including familiar faces from SpongeBob SquarePants, Rugrats, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Danny Phantom, Hey Arnold!, Invader Zim, The Loud House, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and more.
So far, it's a pretty well-rounded roster that includes some of the more expected characters like SpongeBob, Sandy Cheeks, Patrick Star, Michelangelo and Leonard. However, there are quite a few unexpected pleasant surprises, such as Powdered Toast Man and Oblina. The full roster hasn't been announced yet, but GameFragger has the list of confirmed characters so far.
The game will feature 20 themed levels inspired by the Nickelodeon cartoons. Jellyfish Fields from SpongeBob SquarePants and Technodrome from TMNT have been confirmed, but the trailer teases a few more.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will feature singleplayer and multiplayer game modes, online competitive matches, and local multiplayer with up to four players. It's set to release in Fall 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
