The soundtrack to Walt Disney Animation Studios' CGI-animated film Ralph Breaks the Internet, the sequel to 2012's Wreck-It Ralph, will release digitally on November 16, Disney has announced. A physical CD version will hit stores on November 30.

Composer Henry Jackman, who scored the original film, returned for Ralph Breaks the Internet with a mission to "create a score that’s reminiscent of the first film, while embracing the new story and the vast, uncharted new world of the internet that Ralph and Vanellope must navigate to retrieve a part to save her game."

“‘Wreck-It Ralph’ is one of the best animated films of recent times and I was really proud of the score. What makes this one different? There’s a clue in the title, ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’—we’ve moved from the arcade to the internet. While we can retain some of the original material, there’s a new layer we had to create and integrate. There’s a distinction between arcade electronica and internet electronica, which sounds more modern. There’s so many fun things to enjoy. But I think the universality comes from the fact that it’s an important archetypal friendship story. Hidden behind all of this amazing technology and imagery is something very solid emotionally and narratively.”

The Ralph Breaks the Internet soundtrack will feature multiple original songs, including the already-released end credit song "Zero" from the GRAMMY-winning band Imagine Dragons. Additionally, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, who voices the character Shank in the film, will make her singing debut with a song called "A Place Called Slaughter Race" which she will sing with Sarah Silverman (voice of Vanellope von Schweetz). Composed by Oscar-winning songwriter/composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Aladdin), "A Place Called Slaughter Race" is in the vein of class "I want" songs in the Disney canon such as “Someday My Prince Will Come” and “Part of Your World." In the song, Vanellope sings about her "desire to be part of the world outside of her video game Sugar Rush and grow as a racer and a person."

Additionally, a pop version of "A Place Called Slaughter Race" - called "In This Place" - will be performed by GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Julia Michaels. This will serve as the second end-credit song for the film.

“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”

Ralph Breaks the Internet hits theaters on November 21.
