Just the other day, Disney dropped the first trailer for their upcoming, live-action remake of the 1998 animated classic
Mulan. Recently, one of the directors of the original version,
Tony Bancroft took to Twitter to show his support for the remake. Now, the star of the original has taken to social media to weigh in on the upcoming film.
Ming-Na Wen is now most well-known for playing Agent Melinda May on the ABC show by the name of
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. However, Wen was the voice actress behind the iconic character of Mulan in the 1998 animated film of the same name. The role will be played by Yifei Liu in live-action. Liu is one of the aspects of the new version of
Mulan that Wen showed her support for in a tweet.
Wen admitted that she's looking forward to seeing the live-action remake of
Mulan and that she thought that trailer was absolutely epic. This is a sentiment that many anticipating fans can totally agree with. You can check out Wen's tweet (
