INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE: Did You Catch This Japanese Spider-Man Easter Egg?
The hit web-slinging animated movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, has a Japanese Spider-Man Easter Egg hiding in a sketchbook. Did you happen to catch this one?
Animator for Sony Imageworks, Nick Kondo, has revealed a Japanese Spider-Man Easter Egg in the hit-animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The scene that Kondo shared has Miles' sketchbook in focus and if you focus and look for it, you will see Japanese Spider-Man's Leopardon, the giant mecha robot.
This is not the first time Japanese Spider-Man has been mentioned in Into the Spider-Verse. One of the producers behind the animated movie, Philip Lord, stated that a Japanese Spider-Man might make it in the upcoming sequel, in one condition. If the film crosses 200 million dollars in domestic box office, Philip Lord promises the Japanese character's addition to the cast.
Into the Spider-Verse hit theaters on December 14, 2018 with a budget of 90 million dollars and has made over 213.7 million dollars in box office revenue. The movie won "Best Animated Feature" in the Critics Choice Awards. Phil Lord and Rodney Rothman serve as the screenplay writers and Lord produces as well.
