It's been just over a month since we got our first look at Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2, which it turns out is actually titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One). A mouthful, to be sure.

Nonetheless, the first instalment saw the multiverse brought to Miles Morales but this time it's the other way around. Miles, Gwen Stacy, and Spider-Man 2099 will travel throughout a variety of different realities, as is revealed in the first look trailer that debuted last month — which you can check out here.

Producer and writer of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) as well as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Chris Miller has revealed (via ComicBookMovie.com) that each of the different universes that the characters will be paying a visit to throughout the film will have their own art styles.

This is in effort to continue pushing the boundaries of the animated visual medium, which is something that the first instalment was praised for.

It is, as Phil said, a very ambitious sequel, because we didn’t want to just sort of do the same thing again. And so the idea that we’d be going to different dimensions really opened up an opportunity artistically to have each world have its own art style, and to be able to push the folks at ImageWorks to develop a way to have each dimension feel like it was drawn by a different artist’s hand. Seeing the development of that stuff is breathtaking, and really, it’s the reason we keep doing it, because it’s so hard to get it right.
