Teased by Sony producer Amy Pascal just the other day, the first official trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has finally dropped! Titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the film brings back Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, and Oscar Isaac as Miguel O'Hara A.K.A. Spider-Man 2099, among others.
Speaking of Spider-Man 2099, this official teaser trailer gives us our first look at the futuristic webslinger in action taking on Miles as him and Gwen venture throughout the titular multiverse. The visuals are still uniquely phenomenal and arguably better than ever; there are even some awesome updates to each character's design, both in suit and out.
The trailer's description (via Sony Pictures Entertainment) features a new synopsis which goes as such:
"Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered."
Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to arrive exclusively in theaters on October 7th, 2022. Check out the teaser trailer below:
