The Nightmare Before Christmas is a stop-motion animated film that debuted all the way back in 1993. It was directed by Tim Burton who is best known for

The film follows Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown, as he loses interest in the haunting time of year and instead becomes infatuated with the more gleeful world of Christmas. Jack plots to kidnap Santa Claus and take his place as the mascot of Christmastime.
