Kevin Smith has been working on his new He-Man series for a while, and audiences will finally be able to see what he's put together this week. In addition, on Friday, Netflix will release Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part I, which will see the return of classic characters in dire need of a re-visit.
The series features Mark Hammil as the voice of Skeletor, replacing the original voice actor Alan Oppenheimer, who is now in his 90s. Even though Alan didn't reprise the role for the new episodes, he did meet with Smith and Hammil to discuss the character iteration during production.
Regardless, fans are clamoring to hear the inimitable Hammil bring his Joker-Esque talents to the character. Still, many others will be featured in the series despite that excitement, and you can see most of them highlighted in the massively packed new poster for Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1.
In addition to the new poster, there is also an action-packed trailer to whet the appetites of those chomping at the bit for new He-Man content. You can check it out below, along with the synopsis for the animated sequel.
The Final Battle Begins. After a calamitous battle fractures Eternia, Teela and an unlikely alliance must prevent the end of the Universe in this sequel to the ’80s classic. Will the Guardians of Grayskull save Eternia and the fate of the entire Universe? The end is only the beginning.
What do you guys think? Will you be tuning in this month? In the meantime, fans can hear our exclusive interview with the original Skeletor voice actor, Alan Oppenheimer!
