Out promoting her upcoming stop-motion film,
Missing Link, Guardians of the Galaxy actress Zoe Saldana shared new details on her character in the upcoming Laika (Coraline, ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings) film.
"
[My character] has a true sense of justice, so she's not going to allow Lionel to take advantage of Mr. Link. Also, she finds herself displaced once again. She's an immigrant, she buried her husband and now she finds herself questioning, 'What do I do? Who am I? Where do I go?' So she's in dire need of an adventure. She embarks on this adventure with them and discovers herself, but discovers that being selfless is part of self discovery as well -- being there for others."
Missing Link hits theaters next week on April 12. Advance previews will be available Thursday night. It seems as if there's been very little marketing for the film, so we've included a trailer below. The award-winning Laika was able to attract some A-list talent as the voice cast includes Hugh Jackman, Saldana, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, David Walliams, Timothy Olyphant, Matt Lucas, Amrita Acharia, and Zach Galifianakis.
