James Marsden is making the jump from Westworld to Sonic's World, as the actor reportedly has a starring role in Paramount's live-action/animation hybrid movie
Sonic the Hedgehog. There is no word yet on who he will play in the film, although he's not expected to voice the title character. Rather, Marsden is believed to be the human lead, according to
Comic Book Movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog film is an adaption of the popular video game series from Sega, which launched in 1991 and has sold more than 360 million copies to date. Sonic, an anthropomorphic hedgehog born with the ability to run faster than the speed of sound, is the star of the franchise, although he has a number of friends who also boast different abilities. Sonic the Hedgehog will be directed by Jeff Fowler with a script from Oren Uziel ( 22 Jump Street; The Cloverfield Paradox). Deadpool director Tim Miller will executive produce along with Toby Ascher. Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons will co-produce.
Production on
Sonic the Hedgehog is expected to begin later this year with the film set to hit theaters on November 15, 2019.
