DC Studios recently hinted that some major announcements for its upcoming animated slate were on the way, and this morning during Warner Bros. Discovery's San Diego Comic-Con panel, we got word on two huge projects that are currently in development.

Animated movies based on Alan Moore's Watchmen and the acclaimed Crisis on Infinite Earths arc in the works, and are scheduled to release at some point next year.

Details are sparse, but you can check out logos for both animated features below.

We've seen elements of Crisis on Infinite Earths in several previous animated films, but this is the first time the story will be adapted in full. Warner Bros. was said to be developing an R-rated animated take on Watchmen back in 2017, but nothing ever came of it.

We're not sure if this will be a direct adaptation of Moore's original tale or some kind of sequel/spin-off (like the recent HBO live-action series), but we'll be sure to keep you updated as more information comes our way.

In the meantime, be sure to let us know what you make of this news in the comments down below.
