Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse's release was highly-anticipated, though it's unlikely anyone could've predicted its immense success.
Sony's latest animated film won "Best Animated Motion Picture" during both the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. The review-aggregator Rotten Tomatoes recently declared that Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse was the best-reviewed animated movie of 2018 - currently holding a 97% rating on the site.
Well now it has yet another trophy to add to its collection. The "Producers Guild of America" Awards recently took place at also provided Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse with the award for "Best Animated Motion Picture".
Interestingly, the three previous winners of PGA's "Best Animated Motion Picture" award have gone on to attain the same award from the esteemed Oscars - those being Coco, Zootopia, and Inside Out - therefore, it goes without saying that Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse has a high chance of doing the same.
Synopsis: In the "classic Spider-Man mold", Miles Morales must juggle his high school life with his status as a superhero, as he is introduced to the "Spider-Verse" where there can be more than just one Spider-Man.
