Ahead of The Incredibles 2's release, Screen Junkies have taken it upon themselves to produce an Honest Trailer for its predecessor.
The fun video has nothing but good things to say about the 14 year old movie, though they do bring up some, in retrospect, not-so-subtle dark elements which you might not have noticed before.
Like most Pixar movies, The Incredibles is rated PG, which tends to mean it's fun for the whole family. Yet this family friendly film boasts an extortionate body count, an attempted suicide, a hero threatening to snap an innocent like a toothpick, and some nameless thugs often meeting pretty grizzly fates.
Though, shining a light on these darker moments is the only arguably negative string they could find to tug on. In the end, the Honest Trailer folks sum the film up best as "the best Fantastic Four movie never made."
