The hit web-slinging animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has received another honor in the form of an Oscar nomination. The film has been nominated for the Animated Feature category with fellow nominees: Ralph Breaks the Internet, Incredibles 2, Mirai and Isle of Dogs.
If the movie wins the Best Animated Feature, five people will be recognized: Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The film has won awards this season already with the Best Animated Feature at the Producers' Guild Awards and the Critics' Choice Awards. Rotten Tomatoes revealed it is the best-reviewed animated film of the year.
In the music front, Billboard reports the film's theme song Sunflower was streamed more than 47.6 million times. Post Malone, the artist behind the song, got to the #1 position for the third time.
