Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for their live-action
Sonic the Hedgehog movie back in April. Fans weren't happy. So, the director of the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie took to Twitter announce that they would delay the movie in order to rework some of its most criticized aspects — most notably, the character design.
The
Sonic the Hedgehog movie will now arrive in theatres on February 14th and Paramount Pictures recently released a new trailer for
it. This time around the trailer was actually funny, awesome, and featured a character design for
Sonic the Hedgehog that wouldn't be able to venture into your nightmares.
Jeff Fowler, the director, recently headed to Twitter again but this time it was to thank the fans for the reaction to the new trailer.
"Thank you for the last 24 hours Sonic fans... it's been EXTRAORDINARY. (and there's much MORE to come)," read the director's tweet — which you can check out below (via

In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
