The live-action Dora The Explorer movie has added Benicio Del Toro (Sicario, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Guardians of the Galaxy) as the villainous Swiper. The nefarious fox is, of course, the most well-known antagonist of the educational cartoon series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter; Del Toro has joined the project following completion of principal photography, as Swiper will be added after the fact using CGI and Del Toro will simply provide his voice to the character.

Del Toro joins the likes of Isabela Moner (as Dora) Michael Pena and Eva Longoria (as Dora's parents), Madeleine Madden (as Dora's high-school friend), Micke Moreno (as Dora's cousin Diego), and Adriana Barraza (as Dora's grandmother).

What do you think of Del Toro as Swiper? Are you looking forward to the live-action Dora The Explorer movie?

Dora The Explorer is set to arrive in theatres on August 2nd, 2019.
