During her press tour for the second installment of Wreck-It Ralph, Sarah Silverman, the voice of Ralph Breaks the Internet’s Vanellope von Schweetz, stated in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment that she considers Vanellope to be Disney’s first Jewish princess.

“I say she is. Nobody has said no. So, yeah.”

Silverman first brought up the topic back in March on International Women’s Day when Disney tweeted an image celebrating all of the Disney princesses from minority groups. In response, Silverman posted on Twitter that Vanellope should be celebrated amongst them as well:

“Um you’re missing a lil Jewish girl in a green hoodie & candy stuck2 her hair.”

While Disney has not officially confirmed that Vanellope is the first Jewish princess to be featured in their animated films, even Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, the co-directors of Ralph Breaks the Internet, backed Silverman’s claims that Vanellope is Jewish. “I think that very much so,” said Moore during the interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, while Johnston added, “A Jewish animated princess, absolutely.”
