Musical artist Post Malone recently appeared on
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where it was revealed that the rapper/singer/songwriter has created a song for Sony's upcoming animated film
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Malone was entertaining, if not a bit awkward, during the interview but it was all good fun nonetheless. More importantly, we got to hear a snippet from the song, which is titled
"Sunflower." Check out the video below around the 3:00 mark to hear a little clip from the song.
The vibe certainly seems to matcht he tone of the upcoming movie, which focuses on Brooklyn teen Miles Morales who is thrust into the role of the iconic web-slinger and, under the mentorship of an older Peter Parker, is introduced tot he limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse where more than one can don the mask. Together, all of the variations of Spider-Man must team up to stop a growing force that threatens all reality.
Miles Morales will be voiced by Shameik Moore, while Jake Johnson will voice Peter Parker. The two stopped by the Marvel LIVE booth at NYCC this weekend,
offering their thoughts on the upcoming movie and what sets it apart from previous
Spider-Man movies.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into theaters December 14, 2018. We don't know when the Post Malone song or the film's soundtrack will release.
