Mighty Mouse appears to be set for a reboot as Jon & Erich Hoeber have been hired to write a screenplay for a new film adaptation from Paramount Animation.  Deadline reports that the project will be a "hybrid film", meaning it will combine animation with live-action, think the recent Garfield movies or Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Created in 1942 as a parody of Superman, the Herculean mouse has gone on to develop a following of his own after starring in over 80 animated films between 1942 and 1961, and two separate cartoon series n 1979 and 1987. Back in 2004, Paramount attempted to create a CGI Mighty Mouse film in collaboration with Nickeldoen that never got off the ground.
