Lately, Chinese animation has been stepping up their game in the world market. One of their most recent releases also ushered in a new Fengshen Cinematic Universe with the release of the film Ne Zha. Now, the franchise's second chapter is finally on its way!
Jiang Ziya: Legend of Deification is the follow-up to Ne Zah and puts forth the age-old idea of if one life is worth thousands. Initially meant to release during the Chinese New Year, COVID-19 ended up forcing a delay that will now see the movie premiere this fall.
A brand new trailer was also released that gives a fantastic story explanation with some beautiful visuals and action sequences. The film has also been confirmed to release in North America, but there is no word on any dub cast announcements.
With the movie finally releasing, there will hopefully be more than enough profit to continue this amazing new animated universe. Make sure to check out the trailer below, and don't forget to share your thoughts on the news in the comments!
