If you're a fan of Pixar's animated films, you know that they love to throw in a bunch of awesome Easter Eggs and references to their other projects. Well, did you also know that each Pixar movie features one Easter Egg that makes reference to their next film?
2003's Finding Nemo featured a magazine cover which had Mr. Incredible emblazoned on its cover, 2004's The Incredibles featured a car which was the spitting image of Doc Hudson from 2005's Cars, the list goes on and on. But perhaps one that is relevant to this article is the one in Up, that being our first look at Lotso - who would go onto serve as Toy Story 3's main antagonist.
Pixar obsessive Seamus Gorman recently uploaded a video which analyses Incredibles 2 for a reference to Pixar's next film - that being Toy Story 4. Gorman tirelessly scrubbed through The Incredibles' sequel with the sole intent of finding a toy who could show up in next year's film - and he was successful.
A single shot features a Toy Story-esque doll on the ground - it's obviously this doll which Gorman thinks is Incredibles 2's nod to Toy Story 4. But that's not all; based on the fact that we know zero information on the upcoming sequel's villain and the doll's intricate design, Gorman believes that (much like Up's afformentioned inclusion of Lotso) this is our first look at Toy Story 4's villain.
What do you think about this theory? Do you agree or have a different take on the Easter Egg? For a more in-depth rundown of the speculation; be sure to watch Gorman's video on the subject - which you can see below:
Toy Story 4 will mosey into theatres on the June 21st 2019.
