The first official trailer for BBC and Netflix's upcoming animated film Watership Down, which will arrive on December 23rd, has been released. This new trailer shows off the, arguably antiquated, CGI, the film's starstudded cast, and some tense moments.
Check out the trailer below:
Watership Down's voice cast includes to likes of: James McAvoy (Split), Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Apocalypse), John Boyega (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther), Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel), Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), and Sir Ben Kingsley (Iron Man 3), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), and Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who).
The animated film is, of course, based on the dark-toned Richard Adams novel - which sees a colony of rabbits attempt to find and defend a home amid conflict with other colonies. The story was adapted into a film previously, back in 1978, however it has been reported that this iteration wont be quite as violent.
What do you think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to Watership Down?
