If a new rumor proves true, the former Disney Channel star, Zendaya, may have the opportunity to portray an iconic character in one of Disney's forthcoming live-action adaptations.
According to That Hashtag Show's sources, Zendaya - who as the character Michelle had a significant role in Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming - was offered the lead role of Ariel in Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid film.
