When Disney began promoting their new streaming service, they revealed that
The Simpsons — one of their new acquisitions after the Disney/20th Centurty Fox merger — would be part of their line-up; promising that every episode would be included.
Now that the Disney+ streaming service has been available for a couple of days, subscribers noticed that
The Simpsons isn't featuring every single episode — which is something that Disney promised when promoting the new service.
"Stark Raving Dad" is the one episode that the show is missing, and it is an episode released in 1991 that featured Michael Jackson as a guest appearance — although he didn't lend his appearance; instead, lending his voice to bring life to a one-off character.
Earlier this year, 20th Century Fox decided to pull the "Michale Jackson episode" from
The Simpsons over HBO's Finding Neverland documentary that shed light on the pop star's secret life — which made the executives of the show make that decision.
With all the controversy surrounding Michael Jackson, Disney+ not featuring the "Stark Raving Dad" episode from
The Simpsons is more than understandable; it is still a shame, though, since the episode itself is actually a pretty heart-warming episode.
