Adi Shankar, the creative responsible for developing Netflix's Castlevania series, has partnered with Ubisoft to bring to life an animated series based on Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon DLC (via Gamefragger). The expansion pack saw players inhabit a neon world of dragons and cyborgs.

Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe will retain the stylistic choices of said game — as evidenced by its subtitle. However, it's also said that the show will be somewhat of a multiversal middle-point between Ubisoft's popular franchises. As you can see in the official artwork below, there are characters present who are reminiscent of both the Raving Rabbids and Splinter Cell games.

Ubisoft managing director of Film & Television had this to say about working with Shankar as well as how Ubisoft plans to make the show successful.

“Adi is such a great fan of video games. We share the same culture and references. It's been great to give him the freedom to do something very fresh and bold with our characters," Helene Juguet said.

The managing director continued, “One of the incubator’s key projects is to translate the essence of video games. Our goal is to translate that into an innovative visual and engaging storytelling in animation.”
