Castlevania is an animated series based on the video game series of the same name and is currently available to stream on Netflix. Thus far, the series consists of three seasons. The third and latest season released almost precisely a month ago — specifically on March 5th. Shortly thereafter, Netflix announced that they have greenlit a fourth season.

The series follows the characters of Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sypha Belnades as they defend the nation of Wallachia from dark forces such as Dracula and his minions. While the first two seasons were predominantly based on 1989's Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, the third is most inspired by 2005's Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.

What's on the cards for the fourth season? Well, we currently have no idea. Odds are that fans will have to wait a particularly long time to find out just about anything about the fourth season given that there were a total of seventeen months between the second and third. Here's hoping the wait isn't as long this time around.
