The Fast & Furious franchise has been a staple of modern cinema since the new millennium. What is funny, however, is that it wasn't until recently that the series made the jump to animation, with its series Fast & Furious: Spy Racers.
The series takes place farther in the future of the franchise with Dom's son Tony. In the show, Tony and his friends are recruited for missions to help defend the world because of their unique skill both in the regular world and behind the wheel. The first season was a hit among fans, and not long after the premiere, a second season was coming down the pipeline.
Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rio catches up with Tony and his friends who are now balancing both racing and being spies. Their latest mission takes them all the way to Brazil to try and stop a world-ending plan. Recently, a new trailer was released for the upcoming season that features a ton of new footage.
With the new season coming this October, will it be enough to make the wait until the next movie more bearable? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments, and don't forget to check out the new trailer!
In Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rio, Tony and his crew embark on their first international mission to Brazil. Once in Rio, they discover that Ms. Nowhere's latest recruit and formidable fellow racer, Layla Gray, is missing in action during an undercover mission.
Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rio will hit the gas on October 9th on Netflix!
