Zendaya Comments On The Rumours That She's Up For The Role Of Ariel In The Remake Of THE LITTLE MERMAID

Spider-Man: Homecoming actress Zendaya recently commented on the rumours which claim she is up for the role of Ariel in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.

Spider-Man: Homecoming and Smallfoot star Zendaya recently commented on the rumours that she's been cast/is up for the role of titular role of Ariel in Disney's upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.

Whilst promoting Smallfoot, MTV asked the actress about the rumors wherin she confirmed that they're just that: “Rumor. Just rumors, for now." However, with Zendaya previously stating that she's be open to the role, MTV asked whether we'll see her dye her hair to match Ariel's iconic red lockes, to which Zendaya teased: “We’ll see.”

The live-action retelling of The Little Mermaid will be directed  by Rob Marshall and feature songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, songwriter for Moana and Mary Poppins Returns, as well as Alan Menken's songs which featured in the original animated film. Other rumours surrounding this adaptation suppose that Lady Gaga is up for the role of the villainous Ursula.
