Spider-Punk And A Number Of Other Heroes Could Be Coming To SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse put the focus on Miles Morales, Peter B. Parker, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Noir, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker. You'd best believe that even more versions of the wall-crawler will make an appearance in the sequel and now Phil Lord and Chris Miller have shed some light on who else they would like to bring to the table when that swings into theaters

"This is not a promise at all," Lord explained. "There's tons of the, you know, Spider-diaspora that are out there... I'd be really psyched to see Silk do something and really psyched to be Spider-Punk. I just think, aesthetically, the thing you in a movie with that would be amazing."

He then went on to name some more obscure spider-heroes who could arrive on the big screen, naming two versions it's fair to say that none of us probably ever expected to see. "I wouldn't mind Japanese Spider-Man," he laughed. "Also, Italian Spiderman, let us not forget."

The Japanese Spider-Man (a.k.a. Supaidāman) first appeared in the 1970s in a live-action TV series. However, he's since been introduced in the comic books alongside his giant robot, Leopardon. The Italian Spidey, meanwhile, showed up in a 2007 Australian movie which parodied action films from the 1960s and 1970s. There would probably be some rights issues there, though.
