RUMOR: Warner Bros. Has Reportedly Met With Zoey Deutch Regarding The Lead Role In TOM AND JERRY

According to a new report by The Hashtag Show, Warner Bros. are interested in either Zoey Deutch (Zombieland 2: Double Tap, Dirty Grandpa) or Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One, Vanity Fair) for the lead role in their upcoming Tom and Jerry movie. The report even states that the former has already met up with the studio to discuss the starring role.

Other names on the shortlist include Isabela Moner (Transformers: The Last KnightDora the Explorer), Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Becky G (Power Rangers), and Yara Shahidi (Grown-ish) - but Warner Brosare apparently particularly interested in the two aforementioned actresses. 

On the topic of the lead role; these actresses would be playing "Kayla," who is described as a young woman who enlists Tom to help her stop Jerry from ruining an important event.

Bryan Schulz, Cornelius Uliano, and Kevin Costello have been tasked with writing the Tom and Jerry movie. It's believed that the film will shoot in London during July, for a theatrical release in 2020.

Tom and Jerry is set to release in theatres in 2020.
