An animated movie is in the works known as Puffin Rocks, and it is inspired by children TV series from Cartoon Saloon known as Penguin Books, Dog Ears, and well, that’s it. Many of us might not know of these toons, but if Puffin Rocks is successful, then that should change.

OK, so here's the thing, the movie will follow the story of Oona and her friends, as they journey to save their island along with an egg. The movie is being made by China Nebula Group (CNB), Northern Ireland Screen, and Screen Ireland.

This is what the CEO of China Nebula had to say about the project.

“I am very honored to participate in this wonderful family film together with the world’s leading 2D animation team. As a big fan of Puffin Rock myself, I can’t wait to meet the little puffin and her friends on the big screen as soon as possible.”

We've gathered that the Puffin Rocks movie is set to release in 2021, but an exact date was not given.
