Though a movie based on the Masters of the Universe franchise has seemingly been in the making for decades, the current iteration of the project appears to be making headway. Originally, David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) and Aaron and Adam Nee were attached to write and direct the feature respectively. However, now Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man) have been tasked with writing the film.
Rumours of the film's cast have also begun to sprout, the most prominent being that Noah Centineo will be playing the role of He-Man. Well the actor recently featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he officially stated that he will be playing, the iconic character of, He-Man in the Masters of the Universe movie.
Fallon brought up the rumours and the discussion went as such: "Is this a true rumor I heard that you might be...are you playing He-Man?" Centineo replied, "Yes...yeah yeah yeah." The pair became giddy, each chanting "Masters of the Universe!" before Centineo then said, "I have an affinity for being in my underwear, I don't know what it is".
Fallon then congratulated the 22-year-old actor as such: "He-Man is one of my favorites. I grew up with all those toys. I was probably too old to be playing with them but I still was. That's going to be giant, congratulations on that."
