Based on the Walter E. Rollins and Steve Nelson song of the same name, Frosty the Snowman is a heartfelt story about a snowman brought to life by a group of children after they place a magical hat upon his head. But as rising temperatures threaten to melt him, the cheerful and kindhearted "jolly, happy soul," sets off on an adventure to reach the North Pole. Joined by a young girl named Karen, their journey reveals a story of friendship, sacrifice, and Christmas magic.
Frosty must get to the North Pole before he melts or before professor Hinkle steals back the magic hat that gives the snowman life.
Frosty the Snowman features the voices of comedians Jimmy Durante as the film's narrator, Billy De Wolfe as Professor Hinkle, and Jackie Vernon as Frosty. It was written by Romeo Muller (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer) and directed by Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin Jr.
