DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD: LEAKED Image Reveals Our First Look At Benicio Del Toro's Swiper

A new, leaked image from Dora and the Lost City of Gold reveals our first look at the film's pseudo-realistic CG take on Swiper. He will be voiced by Benicio Del Toro.

The live-action Dora the Explorer movie is just a couple of weeks from releasing. It'll star Isabela Moner (Transformers: The Last Knight) as the titular explorer. The film will also feature Michael Pena and Eva Longoria as Dora's parents, Madeleine Madden as Dora's best friend, Micke Moreno as Dora's cousin Diego, and Adriana Barraza as Dora's grandmother.

Another actor who will somewhat feature in Dora and the Lost City of Gold is Benicio Del Toro (Sicario, Star Wars: The Last Jedi). Del Toro will be playing the nefarious fox: Swiper. This character will be brought to life through the use of CGI - as will Dora's companion Boots.

None of the film's trailers have featured Swiper so this newly leaked image is our first look at the character's pseudo-realistic look. As you can see below, it's a pretty faithful recreation; he's orange and he's got a blue mask and gloves, can't really go wrong with that.

Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Isabela Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold is set to arrive in theatres on August 9th, 2019.
