Disney's upcoming, live-action remake of
The Lion King will be a musical - the same as the original. While it will feature the same soundtrack for the most part, there will be some new additions (via
Comicbook.com). However, if you're familiar with the stage adaptation of The Lion King, you'll recognise one of the new songs.
Elton John wrote and composed the songs of the original, animated
The Lion King movie alongside Tim Rice. This duo are returning for the remake with an original song by the name of
"Never Too Late". The new song will be performed by John himself, with an African choir produced by Lebo M.
Another song that didn't feature in the animated version of
The Lion King is
"He Lives In You" which you'll recognise if you're a fan of the stage version of the film. In the upcoming remake, this song will be performed by Lebo M.
As mentioned above; as well as new songs, the live-action remake of
The Lion King will still feature classics like
"Can You Feel The Love Tonight". Donald Glover and Beyonce will perform this song in the remake - instead of Elton John who performed it in the original - you can hear some of that performance
here.
