As he has done in promotion of other recent musical films; James Corden recently featured a segment in his late night talk show which saw the cast of the new, live-action
Aladdin remake take to the streets to perform such classic songs as: Friend Like Me, A Whole New World, and Prince Ali.
The Late Late Show's recurring
"Crosswalk the Musical," segment sees the show's host, a plethora of performers, and the cast of whatever film is being promoted use the amount of time that they're provided by traffic lights to perform for those stuck in gridlock.
Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, and Will Smith (who play Aladdin, Jasmine, and the Genie respectively) are all in attendance for Corden's latest street musical - as is explained in the video's official description:
James invites the stars of "Aladdin" - Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud - to partake in a special theatrical rendition of the classic story. But James's excitement to conquer the role of Genie is dashed when Will Smith shows up ready to take on the part he plays in the film, leaving James to play Abu. Can Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, and Abu literally survive the stage that is the crosswalk of Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles?
