It's been two and a half months since Disney's live-action remake of
Aladdin released in theatres. Starring Will Smith, Mena Masoud, and Naomi Scott; the film is one of the biggest of the year, having earned more than $1 billion at the box office.
Being a remake of the 1992 animated film of the same name, it included redone versions of many iconic songs and musical numbers — as well as including a brand new one called "Speechless." A song which rivals "A Whole New World," for the mantle of most iconic song from
Aladdin would be "Friend Like Me."
Originally, this song was performed by the late, great Robin Williams. However, in the recent remake it was performed by Will Smith. The song's premise involves the Genie explaining and demonstrating, for the titular street rat's benefit, exactly what he's capable of.
Though the song itself has been available to listen to for a while now, Disney (via
