UPDATE: We now have an official synopsis which reveals that the Hill family temporarily moved to Saudi Arabi for Hank to work a contractor job and build a nest egg for their retirement. The synopsis reads, "After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane."
ORIGINAL POST FOLLOWS: The opening credits for Hulu’s King of the Hill revival have just dropped, revealing exciting hints and confirming key details about the show.
For starters, it looks like the Hill family moved away from Arlen briefly as they either sold or rented their house to Earl, from Dale's gun club. Without Hank there as a pillar, the foursome of Hank, Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill briefly drifted apart.
However, before the credits wrap, it seems Hank and Peggy move back in, much to the delight of Bill.
If we had to guess, Hank and Peggy probably temporarily relocated to Dallas, as it's been confirmed that a now-adult Bobby, works as a chef in the urban city.
Hank, Bill, Dale, and Boomhauer are all making a comeback for King of the Hill’s 14th season on Hulu.
Fox Entertainment confirmed that the revival won’t air on their traditional Animation Domination block, as the network is now opting to focus on shows they fully own King of the Hill now falls under the Disney umbrella.
Stephen Root, the voice of Bill Dauterive, revealed that the new season will feature a time jump, picking up several years after season 13’s finale. Fans can expect an older Bobby Hill, who is now reportedly working as a chef in Dallas.
A number of familiar voices are making a comeback, with several original cast members reprising their iconic roles. Mike Judge is set to return as both Hank Hill and Boomhauer, while Kathy Najimy steps back into the role of Peggy Hill.
Pamela Adlon will once again voice Bobby Hill, joined by Stephen Root as the lovable Bill Dauterive. Lauren Tom is back to bring Minh and Connie Souphanousinphone to life, and Ashley Gardner will reprise her dual roles as Nancy Gribble and Didi Hill. Additionally, Jonathan Joss is confirmed to return as John Redcorn.
According to several trustworthy news outlets, Hulu has given the King of the Hill revival a two-season order.
As confirmed by the opening credits, season 14 of King of the Hill will premiere on Hulu, August 4th.
