Last week, Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game maker Ravensburger hosted a special press event, providing us with a sneak peek at what's to come. While the majority of the presentation was focused on Set 9, Fabled, coming this September, Ravensburger saved some very exciting teaser announcements for the end.

Coming in Q4 2025 will be Set 10, Whispers in the Well.

"We are encountering a new type of glimmer. These are ethereal glimmers. We don't know where they came from. We don't know what's happening with them. So that's the mystery we will have to unravel together in Whispers in the Well," Ravensburger teased.

Although we're still a long way away from learning specific set details for Whispers in the Well, the key art provided us with a very exciting clue. If you look towards the left of Ariel in the background, you'll see a winged creature. Yes, Gargoyles are coming to Disney Lorcana with Set 10 later this year.

Gargoyles was an animated television series co-produced by Walt Disney Television Animation that ran for two seasons in the Disney Afternoon programming block. The third and final season aired on ABC as Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles. The animated series followed gargoyle statues who serve as the secret nighttime protectors of modern-day New York City. It was praised for its relatively dark tone and complex story arcs, receiving praise and comparisons to Batman: The Animated Series and X-Men.

Gargoyles won't be the only Disney Afternoon animated series coming to Disney Lorcana either. It was also confirmed that 2026 will see the arrival of Darkwing Duck, another beloved and highly requested franchise. No additional details were provided, but the news alone should get fans excited.

Darkwing Duck is another fan-favorite Disney animated series, especially among millennials, that ran from 1991 to 1992. The series followed the adventures of Darkwing Duck, the superheroic alter-ego of Drake Mallard, and his sidekick and pilot Launchpad McQuack.

Darkwing Duck is another popular animated series that received glowing reviews. To this day, it's still one of the most beloved animated series, and should make for an exciting addition to Disney Lorcana.

But before we get to Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck, Disney Lorcana will be adding cards based on another animated classic. A Goofy Movie, which is currently in the midst of its 30th anniversary celebration, will be road-tripping its way into Disney Lorcana with Set 9, Fabled, launching later this year on September 5th.
