South Park has been running strong for a long time now. The staple of adult animation began in 1997 and shows no sign of slowing down, with a 22nd season just around the corner. To promote that season, and maybe to give viewers a look at just how long South Park has been running, Comedy Central is hosting a South Park marathon. Each of the series's 273 episodes will air, in order, starting on September 19th at 9 AM. From there, they will continue until September 26th, which is when the latest season will air.
Now, to be perfectly fair, this event isn't a true marathon. Some of Comedy Central's most popular shows, like The Office and The Daily Show, will still air at their regular showtimes. Uproxx reports that those shows wil take up 11PM-Midnight slots, and Tosh.0 and The Jim Jeffries Show will also air during the South Park run. Still, we think that eight days full of pretty much the same show counts as a marathon, don't you? I mean, even during marathons you go up to go to the bathroom, right?
Right?

Season 22 officially airs its first episode Wednesday, September 26th. For all your South Park news, and all your adult animation news in general, stay tooned to Toonado.
