Ahead of the upcoming E3 gaming event, THQ Nordic are to unveil three new games. The first of those titles has been now been announced (via
Gamefragger) and it's a remake of the
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom game which originally released for the PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance.

Purple Lamp Studios are the developers behind this version, retitling it:
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated. It will reportedly be a faithful remake, however, will include new features like a two-player horde mode (which will be playable online or with split-screen).
We currently don't know the game's release date but we do know that it will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can check out the synopsis which THQ Nordic released below:
